Shanghai is the economy, finance, trade, shipping and scientific and technological innovation center in China. It is located in east China, at the estuary of the Yangtze river, connecting with Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. It covers a total area of 6,340.5 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the total permanent population of the city was 24.2378 million. There are more than 1,000 bus lines, 16 metro lines, three main railway stations: Shanghai railway station, Shanghai Hongqiao railway station and Shanghai South railway station and two international airports: Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport in Shanghai. Famous scenic spots are the Bund, Yu Garden, Nanjing Road, People’s Square, Jing’an Temple, Xintiandi, and Disney Park, etc.
